Application & Processing

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GO UNDER CONTRACT

When you find a property you’re ready to buy, your lender will help you complete a full mortgage loan application, talk you through the various down payment options, and quote you an estimate of loan fees (Good Faith Estimate or “GFE”). The application is submitted to processing, where the documents are reviewed and the appraisal and title work are both ordered. After processing, the loan is sent to an underwriter who reviews and approves the entire loan for compliance.  Following final underwriting the loan is deemed “clear to close” and the Closing Disclosure (CD) with finalized loan figures is issued at least three business days prior to closing.
